Start of Term, Start of Purpose

I have officially started my first lesson in SUSS - a module that introduces the roots of Social Work to us.

It has been a good year and a half since I graduated from SUSS Accountancy in 2023, now stabilising myself as an accountant in a shipping firm. If I must add, the thought of studying again had crossed my mind after graduation, just not this soon. Lo and behold, when I left home for school for the first time in awhile (thank you boss for allowing me to WFH so my travelling time is shortened), I felt like a pure undergraduate again - first day of school, orientation, kind of vibes. There was also the much-needed optimism all around me, from my family, girlfriend, to my friends, and even colleagues, encouraging me to push myself to get through law school.

I was told it would be ‘bootcamp’ for the first few weeks in school - full saturdays btw. This was one of those things that caught my eye when I was scrolling LinkedIn one day, certainly not a thing in Accountancy back then. Looking forward.
